Even Print People Know Print Is Dead

"A new PEJ survey of American print news editors finds that "Fewer than half of all those surveyed are confident their operations will survive another 10 years-not without significant new sources of revenue." But—there is some "good" news!

According to an ASNE report, "The hemorrhaging of newsroom jobs has slowed somewhat." Break out the champale! American newspapers lost only 5,200 jobs last year, a positively glowing jobs outlook compared to the 5,900 they lost the year before. So the death of print is still coming, without question. But at a marginally slower rate.

[These print editors are in the *news* industry, so give them some credit for understanding the news, about print. Now please stop blaming us. Pic via.]"
