Think about:
"Design is not a spend item but an investment. A newspaper that looks good is going to be more successful that one that is difficult to read because of its messy appearance," says Douglas Okasaki, who has worked for the Brazilian newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo. Graphics, nice fonts, white spaces -- these are important elements for newspapers. "It is important to give 'design surprises' in some of your pages. Readers appreciate these special pages," he adds.
Another important point, according to Okasaki, is giving the website the value it has as a "business card" for the newspaper. "If I do not know your paper, the first thing I will do is go to the Internet and look at it. This is why newspaper sites need to be appealing and interesting," he says.

Vale a pena experimentar.
